Our Principal Consultant Shri V C Babu Sivakumar was invited by the IIT (ISM) student Chapter to speak in a Webinar “Indian Oil & Gas Industry – A Roadmap to a Brighter Future” on 23rd Feb 2021. Shri Sivakumar spoke on the subject “Advances in Holistic Sand Management”. He presented an overview on the three pronged approach to sand management at the reservoir level, the well level and finally the facilities level. The highlight of the presentation was the advances made by GOTS in developing a software for sand management “SandMaster”. GOTS attempts to custom build software for various applications in the industry, in an attempt to reduce dependence on imported software, was also highlighted in the talk. The webinar was addressed by leaders in the industry, who all called for reduced dependence on oil and gas imports.

A webinar on Sand Management was successfully conducted by GOTS on 11th Feb,2021. The webinar was presented by Mr.Abhishek Gupta (senior petroleum Engineer, GOTS) and Mr. V.C. Babu Sivakumar (Principal Consultant, GOTS).

More than 90 professionals and students registered and participated in this event including major Oil and Gas companies like ONGC, OIL, Cairn Energy & Petronas and Universities in India and abroad.

Our Consultants Vinnavadi C Babu Sivakumar (Principal Consultant) & Abhishek Gupta (Senior Petroleum Engineer ) had presented  a paper in “SPE Virtual Workshop Sand Control Management” which was held at Kuala Lumpur from 10th to 12th November, 2020. The topic of the presentation was “Development of an Algorithm to predict outgoing PSD via a Sand Control System using Data Science Approach”.

We take pride in announcing our first commercial version of SandMaster on a successful completion. GOTS would like to thank all operators and experts who contributed in suggesting and enhancing features to deliver a robust sand management system. Version 1 is GOTS first commercial version release of SandMaster

Some added few features in Version 1

  1. Well modelling covering entire facility from subsurface to surface
  2. Improved logics and algorithms to construct a facility of 100 components x10 times faster than Beta version
  3. Improved algorithm in unit conversions

The scope of work consisted of designing of complete ESP system along with equipment specifications from downhole to surface including ESP pump system, cable, surface set-up and energy requirements. The work included not only designing but equipment selection, technical scope of work preparation, technical; evaluation of bids from suppliers and finally technical recommendations. Project was successfully delivered in September 2018
